Gan Israel Day School and Preschool is certified by the Maryland State Department of Education. We are affiliated with Center for Jewish Education (CJE).

Admission Requirements

In 2005 the age for admissions to kindergarten will be 5 years old by September 30, 2005. This is in accordance with the Maryland State Department of Education's plan of eligibility for enrollment. As of school year 2006-2007 and thereafter, the age of eligibility for enrollment in kindergarten will be September 1. As of that date, a child must be 5 years-old to be age eligible to enroll in kindergarten.

We accept Jewish children regardless of their race, national origin, gender or disability.

Teacher Requirements

Our staff meets all requirements set by the Maryland State Department of Education.
Our teachers hold a four year college degree or have a background in Jewish education.
All assistants have or are in process of obtaining their 90 hours certification.
